Forking Paths
Reading the Garden of Forking Paths reminded me of the earlier reading the Library of Babel. The reader seems to get thrown into the mix of things, as jumping into the middle of the book. I felt the same way when i started the Garden. Many metaphors were used to explain what might be happening, but in context it seemed like something else was occurring. The my case, i believed that this labyrinth was simply a book, a book of no particular direction created many separate stories. These stories could be interpreted into what the reader or viewer chose or felt at a particular time. Although it claimed to be insignificant of time, I believe time has/had everything to do with this reading. Peoples paths crossing or not crossing due to either time delays or behind ahead of schedule. Time seemed to relate to a series of events rather than something that is just "happening". We are all apart of different times, whether we are together, alone, a group, a state, a nation or a world, times are occurring.
